Rome and Bologna, two of the most beautiful and charming Italian cities

In your must-visit list, you will surely find Rome on top. Walk by the Colosseum and take a look at the Roman Forum. Walk up the beautiful Spanish steps and enter the St. Peter’s Basilica, right after flipping a coin into the Trevi’s Fountain to make sure you will come back again. Rome – also known as Caput Mundi – is more than a monumental city, in fact its cultural offer goes beyond galleries and museums. Not to mention the cooking offer, you could never leave Rome before trying either a Carbonara or a Cacio e Pepe. Very popular for its cooking tradition is also Bologna, with its tortellini, mortadella and the worldwide famous Bolognese ragout. Also known as the “City of Porticoes”, Bologna is one of the most attractive destinations of Italy thanks to its wide artistical and cultural offer. Must-dos of this beautiful city are a nice walk among the Bolognesi towers, a visit at the Archiginnasion museum and an Italian Aperitivo right in the center of the magical Piazza Maggiore. In this vibrant and pictoresque city, it will not be difficult to find a way to spend also a fantastic night among pub, taverns, shops and squares.

The Instagram contest: how to participate

Now that we have capture your attention, here are the rules for the contest: from November 18th until the 24th, visit one of the 32 participating restaurants and order the specialty of the True Italian Pasta Week 2019. Take a picture of the dish or of someone eating it, use your creativity, and publish it on your personal profile before Sunday, November 24th at 11 PM. Remember that all the stories will not be considered. These are the rules for the picture publication in order to be admitted to the contest:

tag the profile of @trueitalianfood in the picture
put the hashtag #TrueItalianPastaWeek in the description
localize the post in the restaurant in which you took the picture (of course, it must be one of the 32 restaurants participating in the event).

How to win the contest

Our special jury is made up of three people: Andrea D’Addio (Berlino Magazine director), Sara Proserpio (our graphic designer) and Anna Agliardi (our photographer). First of all, they will select the 10 most original and creative pictures among all. Second of all, on Monday, November 25th, these 10 photos will be posted on trueitalianfood Insta-stories, where the audience will be able to vote the best three through a poll. Only after the canonical 24h duration of the stories, we will announce and reach out the contest winners. The most liked picture wins the first prize and the other following. In the event of a tie, the first posted picture will be selected as the winner.

The first placed will have the possibility to choose the destination of his/her trip to Italy: a 3-nights-stay at the Hotel Bramante, an excellent 3-star hotel in the heart of Rome or a 2-nights-stay at the Hotel Touring Bologna, an elegant 4-star hotel in the center of the city. The second place will win the stay that had not be chosen. The winners can decide the dates of these stay according to the hotels’ availability. The flight is not included.

True Italian Pasta Week 2019: Let’s repeat as it works

For one week 32 of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin will offer a first course of pasta (you have the choice between two really particular recipes and each portion is at least 100g), an Aperol Spritz, a Campari Amalfi or a glass of wine and an Averna for just 12€. The offer is valid in all Italian restaurants participating in the event (soon we will post the full list) and to enjoy these pasta specialities you just need to go to one of the participating restaurants and ask for the menu for the event. The True Italian Pasta Week is a Berlin Italian Communication’s initiative organized within the True Italian project in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin. The event will take place during the Italian Cuisine Week in the world promoted by the Italian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Agricultural Policies, University Education and Research and Economic Development. Campari, Aperol, Averna, Acqua Panna, San Pellegrino, Hotel Bramante Rome and Hotel Touring Bologna are sponsoring the event.
