60 hidden places, a map and an event dedicated to the spritz to-go
A month to discover Berlin’s most interesting hidden places!
60 hidden places of Berlin, 30 bars and restaurants all over the city and 4,50€, that will be the promotional price of the spritz for the whole month of august: these are the numbers of the Discover Berlin With a Spritz to-go, the next event sponsored by True Italian and Berlino Magazine that will take place from the 3rd to the 30th of august. According to the current situation, the event is thought to let you enjoy your summer and “aperitivo all’italiana” not indoor but moving around different beautiful open air hotspots, and discovering Berlin places you probably still don’t know. You can get the map for free as a printed flyer (you can find it all the participating spritz hotspots) and on Google Maps.

Discover Berlin With a Spritz to-go, how it works
Participating in the event is very simple: you just have to ask for your spritz to-go in one of the bars and restaurants taking part in the initiative, reach one of the suggested places nearby (in order to avoid the drink from warming up, all the interested areas are well connected each other) and enjoy an aperitivo discovering the numerous unknown spots of Berlin. In fact, each participating place has been chosen not only for its Spritz making skills, but also for being close to at least two open and free areas which deserve a visit. There is more: if you buy 4 spritz together, you will receive the iconic Aperol blanket for free to let you enjoy your aperitivo maybe laying in the sun in the lovely Insel der Jugend, or seated at the sunset on the steps of Admiralbrücke. You can also combine your drink asking for the aperitivo box (different sizes and prices in each place) to let you enjoy a real Italian picnic.

Discover Berlin With a Spritz to-go, the Instagram contest
Would you like to win 6 bottles of Aperol? Then take part in our photo contest! How does it work? All you have to do is take a creative picture of your Spritz to-go and post it on your Instagram account till August 30th at midnight following these rules:
- tag @trueitalianfood and the profile of the bar where you have bought the Spritz in the picture (it has to be one of the 30 participating hotspots).
- write the hashtag #DiscoverBerlinWithaSpritztogo in the description.
At the end of the event our jury will pick the 10 most beautiful and original pictures which will be reposted on our Instagram stories and the audience will have the possibility to vote for their favourite one. The picture which will get most likes at the end of the 24 hours of activity of the stories will be the winning picture (Der Rechtsweg ist ausgeschlossen).

The Marlene Dietrich’s house, the bunker in Pallasstraße, the lovely Chamissoplatz or the not so known Comenius Garden: these are just some of the places suggested in the map, specially realised for the event. There you can find not only the restaurants’ addresses and opening times, but also the closest hidden places to walk towards to. The map is available both as a printed flyer (you can find it all the participating spritz hotspots) and on Google Maps.
