Open air parties, concerts, art exhibitions, festivals…There are a lot of things to do this month in Berlin. Summer just started and the temperatures are getting higher, even it will be impossible to avoid some rainy days…here the best events guide of the month.
EXHIBITIONS, FAIRS AND FESTIVALS
From 21st to 30th July the Berlin Beer Week. More details here.
From 2nd to 11th July the Jewish Film Festival: two weeks about Jewish culture. Many filmmakers from all over the world shot films on Israel to capture and describe the Jewish world.
From 30th October will be expose more than 80 works at Felix by the artist Steve Lazarides, the ex agent of Banksy. Here more details.
July is the Krake Festival month. This festival is dedicated to the underground music and culture. It’s from 24th to 31st July and divided in 3 different Berlin Clubs, which are between the Griessmühle and Urban Spree.

Until 11th September the Berlinische Galerie hosts an amazing exposition on the Travel photography evolution with lots of shots since 1880 until now. Here more details.
Until 31st October the Deutsches Historisches Museum hosts an extravagant exhibition on the journalism photography invention. Here more details.
Twice a year Berlin becomes an international hotspot for fashion, which is the Berlin Fashion Week in Summer. It is from 4th to 7th July, in different parts of the city, such as the Mercedes-Benz and the Berlin ExpoCenter City, where it will be the fashion show “Panorama”.
At Helmut Newton Museum the three most famous photographers exhibition: Testino, Newton and Pigozzi. Here more details.

Until 16th July the German-French Fair, the festival dedicated to the french savoir vivre. It’s at Reinickendorf neighborhood and it will recreate a typical french village with lots of shows, music, typical french food, rollercoasters including the “Rock & Roller Coaster”, a ghost train and the “Poseidon” water ride.
The 15th and 16th July will take place the biggest European Lesbian and Gay City Festival street party. This festival features an entertainment programme with live music, dozens of information booths and market stalls, a wide range of culinary treats, and performances and exhibitions curated by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups.
Just for a few days every summer, from 20th to 25th July, the Gendarmenmarkt square is transformed into a real open air stage for the The Classic Open Air Festival. There will not be just classical performances, but also pop, jazz and rock music played on violins, cellos and other classical instruments.
From 21st July to 13th August the German-American folk festival celebrates the friendship between the two countries and the American way of life. There will be a funfair, live music, street food; the festival location is the Marienpark in Berlin-Mariendorf.
From 1st to 31st July at Martin-Groupius-Bau will take place the multi-sensorial Immersion exhibition, which explores the borders of the rational knowledge. Inspired by agnoseology – the “theory of unknowability” – the interdisciplinary programme invites you to float between reason and imagination.
