True Italian has just announced a brand-new photo contest in occasion of the next Italian Street Food Festival. Win an amazing three nights stay in the capital of the Italian street food tradition: Palermo.

The wait is finally over, and the second edition of the Italian Street Food Festival is finally here. You can feel the excitement in the air. The upcoming weekend, June 22nd and 23rd 2019, Berlin is hosting the greatest event ever organized in Germany, and fully dedicated to the Italian street food, in the vibrant Osthafen location. (Alt Stralau 1-2, 10245 Berlin, S-Bahn Treptower Park). Everything is ready: 24 stands and food trucks are participating (here you can find the whole list), and a DJ-set is warming up the atmosphere, together with the entertainment powered by RBL Berlin (with the special participation of Musica Matta). But there’s more! After the great success of last year, we’re launching a new photo contest, that gives you the chance to win a three nights stay for two people in the real capital of the Italian Street Food: Palermo. The four-star Hotel Boutique Palazzo Natoli is happy to welcome you as their guests. On the line, other two prizes for the second and the third place, both with a Sicilian taste: a huge and authentic Sicilian Aperitivo together with Aperol Spritz for two offered by Lost My Love To Italy, and two jars of the delicious Duo Sicilian Ice Cream’s pistachio cream, followed by two coffees and their irresistible ice cream.

How to participate

This year’s contest is celebrating your food-creativity. The rules are quite simple: during the festival, Saturday 22ndand Sunday 23rd, come to the Osthafen, take an original and funny picture with one of the specialities that are being offered, and post it on your Instagram profile. Share with us your love and passion for good food: the most unique and playful pics will have the chance to be selected by our special jury.

These are the rules to follow, in order to take part in the contest (NO STORIES, POSTS ONLY):

  • Tag @trueitalianberlin in the pic;
  • Use the hashtag #italianstreetfoodfestival;
  • Geotag at the Osthafen Berlin;
  • Post your pic on your profile no later than Sunday 10 pm.
  • You can post more than one picture, but they must depict different specialities.

How to win

Our special jury is made up of three people: Andrea D’Addio (Berlino Magazine director), Sara Proserpio (graphic designer) and Anna Agliardi (professional photographer). First of all, they will select the TEN most original and creative pictures among all. Second of all, on Monday 24th, these ten photos will be posted on @trueitalianberlin Insta-stories, where the audience will be able to vote the best three through a poll. Only after the canonical 24h duration of the stories, we will announce and reach out the contest winners. The most liked picture wins the first prize and the other following. In the event of a tie, the first posted picture will be selected as the winner.

The prizes

As already anticipated, the author of the most voted picture wins a wonderful three nights stay at the elegant Hotel Boutique Palazzo Natoli, a four-star accommodation situated in the heart of Palermo historical centre. The lucky winner can book a Classic Room in a previously chosen period, between October 2019 and March 2020 (excluding holidays). Nothing better than a relaxing trip to capture the real essence of the traditional Palermitan cuisine.

But let’s go forward with the second-place prize because Lost My Love To Italy has kindly raffled off a special Sicilian Aperitivo for two people, obviously followed by two refreshing Aperol Spritz.

Last but definitely not least, the third-place winner gets the chance to take home two jars of the Duo Sicilian Ice Cream famous pistachio cream, and share them with a friend, together with two coffees and homemade ice creams.
